This is Llio Rhydderch's fifth CD for fflach:tradd. On this record the musicians re-visit some old Welsh folk melodies. The CD was recorded practically at the foot of Carn Ingli mountain, near Newport in North Pembrokeshire in an old Tudor building, and the magical and mystical atmosphere of this area was an influence on the music. Llio Rhydderch is the most influential and innovative triple harpist in Wales and Carn Ingli, with the wonderful playing of trumpeter Tomos Williams will emphasise this point. Llio herself says that without Tomos's encouragement the CD would not have happened. Tomos said that it was an honour to co-work with Llio, somebody he has admired for years. Mark O'Connor's sensitive drumming are an interesting addition to the tracks on this album. The front cover is by talented artist Iwan Dafis.
