Melys (Sweet) is the debut album from Cardiff-based electro-pop band Clinigol, brothers Geraint ac Aled Pickard. 12 songs of pop, dance with R&B and hip-pop influences, which include the singles "Y Gwir" (The Truth), "Hufen Iâ" (Ice Cream), "Am Wastraff" (What a Waste) and "Eiliad" (A Second). The sound is totally unique to the Welsh language, so turn the stereo up, it's party time! Unique also is the stellar cast of special guests that appear on Melys. Sexy star of "Skins", Welsh actress Siwan Morris features on three songs, including "Sibrwd" (Whisper), the first R&B song ever recorded in Welsh! Iconic folk singer Heather Jones can be heard on a pop/dance track! Glamorous soprano Margaret Williams hits the high notes on "gormod/digon" (too much/enough). Caernarfon-based rapper Cofi Bachbrings a little hip-hop flavour to "Gwertha dy Hun" (Sell Yourself). Singer and BBC Radio Cymru presenter Nia Medi takes us back to the glory days of clubbibg on "93".
